Winter in Scandanavia is cold, really, really cold. In dark, harrowing times like these, there’s only one thing to drink: Glögg!
But what is this ‘Glögg’ you ask?
Glögg is, in its simplest definition, Scandanavian mulled wine. All Scandinavian countries have their own interpretation of Glögg, you have Norwegian, Swedish and Danish variations and in Finland they drink it too! Of course, there’s a bit of healthy competition involved as to who’s is the best (Swedish). I’m only slightly biased because I live in Stockholm, but I think we can all agree Swedish Glögg reigns supreme. Always. Drinking a cup of warm Glögg is like recieving a hug from the inside. In Denmark they call that Hygge.
I’ve teamed up with Stoneleigh Marlborough to use New Zealand specialty ingredients to help create a Swedish/Kiwi version of everybody’s favourite winter drink. Give it a try! It’s super easy.
